The CPA Education Foundation (CPAEF) awarded a Speaker Series grant to Douglas College to support accounting and business faculty development.
The college hosted a session on December 3, 2019 on “Teambuilding and Collaboration” by Kandis Neth PEng, M.Ed., a learning and development specialist from Juna Consulting in Edmonton. The intent was to support faculty with skills in leading students through collaborative learning and to identify projects that encourage teamwork.
The application was submitted by Shirley Mauger CPA CGA, chair of the Accounting Division at Douglas College.
Business schools at BC post-secondary institutions can apply for Speaker Series funding of up to $2,500 up to twice a year to support faculty development. Contact the David Chiang CPA CA or visit the CPAEF website under “Supporting Faculty” for more details.
