The CPA Education Foundation has awarded a grant of $1000 to CPABC in support of the 2019 CPABC COIN competition.
Last year, a total of 104 students from 32 high schools across BC took part in COIN competition, and the top 10 finishers were subsequently invited to attend an awards luncheon in Vancouver. During the luncheon, the students and their guests were given a presentation by Alice Ko, CPA, CA, founder and managing director of Pivot Six in Vancouver (presented on the left in the photo above), who talked about her path to the CPA designation and described the breadth of business and accounting career opportunities available to CPAs. Cash prize awards were then presented to the top 10 students.
The CPAEF is delighted to support this high school program and advancing accounting education in BC. Visit the CPABC website for details on how to register for the 2019 COIN competition.
