UNBC Announces 2017 CPAEF Awards

The University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) has announced that three students have received CPA Education Foundation Awards.  They are:

Yetunde Oni who received a $500 CPAEF Award is pictured on the left and said, “I plan to pursue my CPA certification immediately after school in 2018 with hopes of becoming a chartered [professional] accountant in the future.  Receiving this scholarship motivates me to continue to work hard.”

Alicia Rich also received a $500 CPAEF Award and said, “I love it here in northern BC and I never want to leave.  I plan to get a career up north somewhere, hopefully close to a bigger city like Prince George.  Thank you for your support.”

And, the CPAEF Graduating Award for $1,000 went to Man-Ho (Edmond) Lo who said, “I am an active volunteer here in Prince George. I promise that I will continue to give back to the community, continue to have academic excellence, and to work hard to achieve my goals of developing a career in accounting.”

Tara Mayes, Development Officer – Donor Relations, echoed these sentiments by saying, “please accept our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for being one of UNBC’s most valuable donors.”

Congratulations to Yetunde, Alicia and Edmond.  Good luck with your education and your careers.
