UFV Announces CPAEF Award Recipients

The University o f the Fraser Valley has announced the CPA Education Foundation Awards for 2017/18 were awarded to Steve Alexander and Andrew Morris.  Both students are enrolled in the Bachelor of Business Administration program majoring in Accounting.  Each award is worth $2,000, are selected by UFV and awarded at the beginning of the fall term.

Anita Nielsen, executive director, advancement and alumni relations at UFV wrote, the CPAEF’s “generosity encourages students to believe in themselves and pursue their dreams and provides support to students who may be struggling with financial stress.”

David Chiang, CPA CA, CPABC’s vice-president, member advice & programs, said, “the CPAEF is delighted to support UFV students.”  He added, “together we are changing lives and building communities.”

In addition to these awards, the CPAEF also supports a matching scholarship in partnership with the Fraser Valley CPA Association.
