UBC Hosts Sauder After Dark

UBC Sauder School of Business hosted an exclusive evening of insight into business innovation, development and practices on March 23, 2017.   This invitation only event was held at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver to recognize donors, such as the CPA Education Foundation, for their generous and long-standing support.

The UBC Sauder After Dark event was a chance for UBC to celebrate the generous spirit of the community and to bring together donors and special guests from around the globe to thank them for their support.

Robert Helsley, Dean of the Sauder School of Business, welcomed guests and recognized key faculty including Elena Simintzi, associate professor, finance division, Marc-David Seidel, associate professor, OBHR division, and James Tansey, associate professor and executive director of UBC Sauder S3i a research centre dedicated to social innovation and sustainability, as they explored topics surrounding innovation in business.

The CPAEF has three endowments at UBC including the CPA Chair in Accounting, CPA Professorship and CPA Teaching Excellence Award.  In addition, each year, over $23,400 in scholarships and bursaries are awarded to 3rd or 4th year Sauder undergraduate students who have an interest in pursuing their CPA designation.

The CPAEF is proud to continue its long-standing support of UBC students and faculty.
