Trinity Western Announces 2018 CPAEF Award Winners

Trinity Western University (TWU) has announced that Gabby Do, Kathleen Chin and Miranda Friesen have received the 2018 CPA Education Foundation Awards which recognizes 3rd or 4th year students who have demonstrated scholastic achievement and who intend to pursue the Chartered Professional Accountant program.  Award recipients are selected by the TWU faculty.

Katheen (pictured above) is a member of the TWU Varsity Athlete Women’s Soccer and the CIS/USports Academic All Canadian team.  She is a humanitarian aid volunteer and  has a summer intern position at EY.

Gabby (pictured below) is an active member at Trinity Accounting Association and works part time at Sodexo at TWU during the year.  She has volunteered at Restore Habitat for Humanity and at the Nanaimo Alliance Church.

Miranda (pictured below) is now working full-time at Friesen, Pankratz, & Associates and is completing some CPA preparatory courses before starting the Professional Education Program next summer. While attending TWU, she was the Merchandise Coordinator for the Trinity Refugee Awareness Campaign and was the Upperclassmen Representative for her dorm.

In addition to these CPAEF Awards, the foundation also supports a matching award with the Fraser Valley CPA Association. The recipient of that award was Kaleb Denham.

Congratulations Gabby, Kathleen, Miranda and Kaleb.  Good luck with your future careers as professional accountants.
