Six SFU Students Receive CPAEF Awards

Simon Fraser University has announced the 2016/17 award recipients for the following CPAEF Awards:

CPABC Award in Accounting ($2000) for the top student in BUS478 Strategic Management and BUS424 Managerial Accounting II – Neha Noor and Elaine Lei;

CPABC Business Administration Co-Op Education Scholarship ($2,000) – Jennifer Samiri

CPABC Desmond O’Brien Memorial Annual Scholarship ($2,000) – Jennifer Samiri

Maharaj & Co / CPAEF Undergraduate Award in Accounting ($2,000) – Korak Ghaffour and Madeleine Cruz.

In addition, Chirag Patel was the recipient of the CPABC Surrey/Langley/N. Delta Chapter Award in Accounting ($1500).  This award is funded through 2021/2022 by the generosity of Chapter members and recognizes a full time student in the Beedie School of Business with a declared concentration in Accounting who is a resident in Surrey, Langley or Delta.  Patel said, “I hope one day I will be able to help students achieve their goals just as you have helped me reach mine.”

Kendra Pryor, SFU Manager Donor Relations said, “thank you for supporting the best and brightest scholars at Canada’s top comprehensive university.  [The CPAEF is] helping our students reach their full potential, achieve their academic goals and become leaders in their community.”
