Okanagan College Announces CPAEF Awards

Okanagan College students receiving CPAEF awards at the Okanagan College Foundation Awards Night November 22, 2018.

Okanagan College Foundation held their annual Okanagan College Student Awards Night at the Centre for Learning Atrium at the Kelowna Campus on Thursday November 22, 2018.

Each year, more than 50 students receive over $50,000 in awards – made possible by donors such as the CPA Education Foundation.

This year, the following students received CPAEF Awards:

CPABC Okanagan Chapter Award:  Relan Johanson and Zabrina Semchuk; and

CPAEF Endownment Award: Madison Deutscher, Nico Dirksen, Megan Holman and Sarah Nieberle.

The awards were presented by Maxine DeHart, CPAEF Governor and councillor for the City of Kelowna.  Said DeHart, “congratulations to these six exceptional Okanagan College students.  Be proud of your academic achievements and good luck in your future careers.”

Kathleen Bates, executive director of the Okanagan College Foundation said, “[the CPAEF’s] support for Okanagan College continues to be a wonderful investment in the future of our students.”  She added, “we believe that transformation starts here, and we are very grateful that you continue to share in our goal of impacting the lives of students.”
