Jeffrey Kent BA, MBA, CPA, CA, has been accepted into the CPAEF’s Doctoral Support Program.
Jeff received his Masters of Business Administration in 2008 from Thompson Rivers University and his Bachelors of Arts (Advanced degree) from the University of Manitoba in 2001. He has been a member of the CPABC since 2015.
Jeff will be pursuing his Doctorate in Business Administration from Athabasca University Faculty of Business and expects to complete his program in 2022. The AU DBA is the first online DBA offered by a Canadian university and provides access to doctoral-level studies for motivated professionals in business, government and not-for-profits. The AU DBA focuses on researching practical business and managerial issues through knowledge building, critique, and the systematic application of relevant theories and research to management practice.
Jeff’s current research focus is on managerial accounting techniques within small and medium sized businesses, specifically within the business of sport. He intends to continue with this area of study post-doctoral. Jeff’s interest in sports management goes back many years. He has several years’ experience managing golf courses and completed Camosun College’s Professional Golf Management program in 2005.
