FVCPAA Announces Student Scholars

The Fraser Valley Chartered Professional Accountants Association (FVCPAA) has selected three local student scholars: Sandy Chu (Kwantlen Polytechnic University), Nicole Noort (University of the Fraser Valley) and Kathleen Chin (Trinity Western University).   These three students have displayed academic achievement, extra-curricular participation, and community service, and will each be awarded a $1,000 scholarship to support their respective accounting education.

These scholarships, which are open to 4th year accounting students from KPU, UFV and TWU, are funded by the FVCPAA with matching funds from the CPA Education Foundation and are intended to encourage local students to continue their education in the accounting field and to pursue the CPA designation.

The FVCPAA and CPAEF are proud to support the local community and educational institutions.  The president of the FVCPAA, Wisdom Ncube CPA CA, said “We wish we could give more scholarships as all the applicants are amazing young people.”

Visit the FVCPAA website for more information about this scholarship or to apply for next year’s awards.
