Dr. Sandra Chamberlain, CPA CMA PhD, Associate Professor in the Accounting and Information Systems Division, was acknowledged by UBC|Sauder Dean Robert Helsley as the new CPA Chair of Accounting at the November 20, 2017 UBC|Sauder CPA Education Foundation Appreciation Event.

UBC|Sauder Dean Robert Helsley announces new CPA Chair of Accounting.

The CPA Chair of Accounting was created in 1980 to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Faculty of Commerce at the University of British Columbia.   This endowed chair provides the holder with an honorarium to support their academic activities.

Dr. Chamberlain’s research interests include accounting and economics, valuation of publicly traded firms using accounting information, accounting and contracting, earnings quality and accounting for financial institutions.   She has recently taught “Accounting for Management Control and Incentives (BCom)” and “Empirical Methods in Accounting Research (PhD)”.
