CPAEF Continues Support for UBC|Okanagan Students

The CPA Education Foundation (CPAEF) continues it’s long standing support for UBC|Okanagan accounting students with matching funds towards the Crowe Mackay CPAEF Achievement Award ($1,250) and the Crowe Mackay CPAEF Leadership Award ($1,250).

The awards are for UBC|Okanagan business students taking third year accounting courses.  The leadership award is for a student demonstrating a high level of academic achievement and exemplifying leadership by engaging in campus life and serving as a role model for their peers.   The achievement award is for a third year accounting student who has demonstrated strong involvement in professional and extra-curricular activities.   Recipients of both awards are selected by the university faculty.

The 2017/18 recipients are Olivia Johnson (achievement award) and Elizabeth Rheanne White (leadership award).

Both of these awards have been supported with matching funds from the CPAEF since 2013.  The CPAEF is committed to contributing $1,250 annually towards each of these awards through to 2022/2023 for a total giving of $25,000 over ten years.  In addition to these awards, the local CPABC Okanagan Chapter offers two awards of $2,000 annually.
