The CPABC Kamloops/Cariboo Chapter has continued its support of two awards at Thompson Rivers University (TRU).  These award have been matched by the CPA Education Foundation (current year’s donation pending CPAEF board approval).

The Kamloops/Cariboo CPA Chapter Award is for $1,500 and available annually to a top student in the 3rd year or higher of the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program with an accounting concentration.  Preference is given to a TRU student expressing intent to enter the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) program.    This award is funded through to 2019/20.

The Kamloops/Cariboo CPA Chapter Bursary is for $1,500 and available annually to a student in the 3rd year or higher of the BBA program with an accounting concentration and who demonstrates financial need.  Preference is given to a student expressing intent to enter the CPA program.

Both of these chapter awards are adjudicated by TRU faculty.

In addition to these chapter awards, the CPAEF also has two $2,000 awards for graduating students who have the intent to enter the CPA program.  These CPAEF awards are made possible by the generous support of local member William Fedorak FCPA FCMA.

The CPAEF extends its best wishes to award recipients and TRU students.
